PINK FOOTED GOOSE - WEST THROUGH GRANE TODAY

A skein of approx 80 Pink Footed Goose went through Grane today at approx 1110hours heading West. I watched them enter the Grane from Haslingden and Charlie watched them whilst at Calf Hey. These are my first returning birds this year and are currently being reported from other parts of the Country as well.... Charlie also had 3 Crossbills today at Calf Hey...

Plenty of Thrushes around Crowtrees....





Today there were plenty of Thrushes around Crowtrees, with at least 60 Redwing and 10 Fieldfare and a couple of Blackbirds. Also at the same area where a pair of Stonechat and a party of at least 6 Goldfinch, 2 Robins and at Heap Clough 1 Goldcrest... (Photo: lane leads to Troy and Priestentax - Click to Enlarge)
